Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald gave his first injury updates of the week during his pre-practice press conference on Thursday.
Linebacker Drake Thomas will practice for the first time today since he injured his ankle while preparing for Week 5’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. In Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs, left tackle Charles Cross injured his ankle and running back Velus Jones Jr. injured his knee. Neither will practice today. Macdonald was unsure whether wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, who injured his knee in Week 7, would practice today.
The Seahawks also designated running back Jadarian Price to begin his 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve today.
Practice began around 1:30 p.m. PDT, where new Seahawks
guard and future Pro Football Hall of Famer Quenton Nelson graced the Virginia Mason Athletic Center’s practice fields for the first time, donning the No. 53 college navy blue jersey.
