Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers had himself quite a performance in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Pro Football Focus named Myers to its Team of the Week for Week 5 after he delivered one of the most productive kicking performances in the league in Seattle’s 32-29 loss to San Francisco.
Myers was perfect on all five of his field-goal attempts, connecting from 49, 50, 43, 48 and 40 yards. His 40-yarder with 6:55 remaining in the fourth quarter tied the game at 29-29. He also made both of his extra-point attempts, accounting for 17 of Seattle’s 29 points.
Though the Seahawks lost, Myers consistently kept the team within striking distance in a turnover-heavy NFC West matchup. His five field goal attempts and makes both marked season highs,
and the distance that he made his field goals from highlight his prowess as a kicker with much range and clutch factor. It is easy to understand why Myers is the Seahawks' franchise all-time leading scorer. It is also encouraging to see his strong start to the 2026 season despite shaky preseason this past August.
Myers and the Seahawks will look to carry the momentum forward when they travel to face the Denver Broncos on Thursday night in Week 6.
