Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba turned in a huge performance for fantasy football team managers who have him on their roster on Sunday, powering the Seattle Seahawks to a 31-7 victory over the Arizona Cardinals with 155 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
ESPN’s Tristan T. Cockcroft labeled Smith-Njigba as being a fantasy football winner in Week 2 after his big game.
“After a stellar, breakthrough 2025 that saw him score the second-most fantasy points among wide receivers, it might be shocking to learn that this week's 42.5 points set Smith-Njigba's new personal best,” Cockcroft said. “He flashed good chemistry with fill-in quarterback Drew Lock and was productive at all levels of the field.”
Smith-Njigba broke free for an 82-yard
touchdown reception that gave the Seahawks an immediate lift early in the game. Arizona stayed even through the first half, but Smith-Njigba became the difference once Seattle regained control after halftime.
He opened the second half by hauling in a 7-yard touchdown pass from Drew Lock, then capped his afternoon with a 12-yard TD grab in the fourth quarter.
The Seahawks improved to 2-0 with the win, while Smith-Njigba’s electric production offered an early statement about his emergence as one of the league’s most dynamic offensive weapons.
