The Seattle Seahawks have made two roster moves on Thursday. Seattle signed formerly undrafted fullback Brock Lampe. In order to make room for Lampe, the Seahawks waived tight end Lance Mason.
Brock Lampe was undrafted out of Northern Illinois, where he spent all four years with the Huskies from 2021-2024. He is now reunited with Seahawks running backs coach Thomas Hammock, who was his head coach in college. Lampe went undrafted in 2025, and spent all season on Injured Reserve with the team Seattle obliterated in the Super Bowl: the now six-time Super Bowl losing New England Patriots. He rushed for 66 total yards and scored two touchdowns.
However, there is a story beyond the story here. The fact the Seahawks are signing a fullback does not necessarily
bode well for the health of their primary starter, Robbie Ouzts.
Ouzts is dealing with an undisclosed neck injury, which he apparently suffered during Seattle's historic playoff run last season. We at Seahawks Wire will continue to monitor the situation as it develops.
