The Seattle Seahawks’ offensive line is emerging as a strong unit in the NFL following Week 4 of the 2026 season.
Pro Football Focus’ Gordon McGuinness ranked the Seahawks’ unit No. 10 overall in his most recent NFL offensive line rankings, signifying a two-spot rise that highlights the unit’s improved level of play following the Week 4 slate of games around the league.
“Another group that is held up by the strength of the tackle play, the Seahawks have seen Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas record PFF grades of 77.7 and 77.9, respectively,” McGuinness said. “Cross has been the unit’s best pass protector too, allowing just five pressures from 133 pass-blocking snaps, and leading the team with a 95.3% PFF pass-block win rate.”
Seattle’s front has
been anchored by tackles Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas, who have helped provide stability on the edges and given the offense more balance through the first four weeks of the year. The unit has supported both the passing game and the run game, allowing the Seahawks to lean on a broader offensive approach.
The Seahawks’ offensive line allowed three sacks to quarterback Sam Darnold in last week’s 30-23 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. Despite that, Seattle otherwise protected Darnold effectively enough for him to complete 13 of 22 passes for 168 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
The combination of Grey Zabel, Jalen Sundell, Christian Haynes and Beau Stephens have manned the interior of the offensive line this season, and the early progress has been evident. Seattle will look to its offensive line to provide elite protection for Darnold and its run game in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers, a matchup that will present another major test for the offense.
