There will be no shortage of star power on Monday night between the Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bears. Among those stars will be Chicago's young quarterback Caleb Williams. Only in his third year, Williams has proven he is among the league's most talented players at the position.
However, Williams now faces a challenge the likes of which he has never seen before in his career: The Seahawks' Dark Side defense. Seattle's historic unit has made life miserable for almost everyone unfortunate enough to cross paths with them, and now Williams is next up on the chopping block. To his credit, Williams is well aware of the moment he now faces, and was singing Seattle's praises earlier this week by calling them the "best defense in football right now."

Caleb Williams has faced Mike Macdonald's Seahawks only once before, all the way back in 2024... his rookie season and the first year Macdonald was in Seattle. It was a late December "Thursday Night Football" game that hardly anyone who isn't a Seahawks or Bears fan probably remembers. Seattle earned a 6-3 road win over Chicago in a sluggish defensive affair. All nine points came from three field goals, and all were kicked in the first half. The final two quarters resulted in zero points from either team!
Williams was 16-of-28 for 122 yards and threw the game-losing interception in the final seconds to Riq Woolen.

Side note... that was the third time in 2024 a Seattle sports team defeated a Chicago team by a score of 6-3, and the first time an NFL game ended with a 6-3 margin since the Seahawks did it in 2011.
Caleb Williams has come a long way since then. Currently in 2026, Williams has thrown for 1,020 yards and five touchdown passes in the four games he's played this year. However, the Seahawks have also vastly improved since then. All I know is Monday night is about to be appointment viewing for the country.
