Former Seattle Seahawks star running back Shaun Alexander sees himself in the team’s rookie running back Jadarian Price.
As a guest on Friday’s episode of the “Up & Adams Show,” Alexander stated that Price has exhibited traits that remind him of his own playing style, praising his quickness and ability to exploit holes in the defense as redeeming aspects of his game.
”Explosion in the hole,” Alexander said when detailing the aspect of Price’s game that most closely resembles his. “Jadarian has that. He has that ‘man im gonna set this thing up, and watch them feet.’”
The Seahawks selected Price with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to replace Kenneth Walker III in the team’s offensive backfield. The Notre Dame product has put his talents
on display this season, having recorded 52 rushing yards on only 10 carries in the Seahawks’ 13-10 win over the New England Patriots in Week 1.
Alexander highlighted Price’s footwork and burst as qualities that can help a young running back succeed at the NFL level. He also said Price appears comfortable making quick decisions once he reaches the line of scrimmage.
While Price still has much to prove over a full season, the praise from one of Seattle’s most accomplished running backs suggests the team may have found another dynamic option in its rushing attack.
