It may be early August, but the Seattle Seahawks will already be under the lights of primetime before a nationally televised audience. No, they won't be taking the field, not quite. But instead, they will be making their debut on the popular HBO series Hard Knocks. For the first time in franchise history, the Seahawks are getting the Hard Knocks treatment. Seattle will be the first reigning Super Bowl champion to appear on the show since the 2001 Baltimore Ravens, which was actually the inaugural season of Hard Knocks!

How to Watch the Seahawks on Hard Knocks

The Seahawks' first episode on Hard Knocks
will air on today, Tuesday, August 4th at 6:00 pm Pacific Time if you have access to the HBO Max app/streaming platform. Otherwise, you can catch the episode later on the main HBO television channel at 9:00 pm Pacific Time.
Traditionally, the Seahawks have done their best to avoid appearing on Hard Knocks to avoid distractions. General manager John Schneider even outright declined an opportunity back in 2013, which turned out to be the year Seattle won their first Super Bowl. It appears Seahawks' luck in this department officially ran out. However, head coach Mike Macdonald has turned what Schneider has feared to be a distraction into a coaching opportunity for his team. Not one to shy away from a challenge, Macdonald encouraged his players to embrace Hard Knocks as authentically themselves.
