What is the story about?

The Seattle Seahawks appear to be preparing for the return of starting quarterback Sam Darnold. For the past two weeks, the team has been led by Drew Lock who has played outstanding football in relief of Darnold. However, it seems Darnold's injury is fortunately healing faster than anticipated as the Seahawks star is "striving" to return to action this weekend against the Washington Commanders.

All signs appear to point to him making his return in Week 3, as Darnold was upgraded from a limited participant to a full participant for Seattle's Thursday practice. Darnold is of course confident, but he did acknowledge he is taking it "day by day" with his recovery. Well, clearly Thursday was a good day. Unless this is all an elaborate ruse to keep

the Commanders guessing/unsure, it certainly feels like we'll see No. 14 back under center.

A few more notes, namely around the safety position. Julian Love appeared on the injury report as a non-participant as he is now dealing with a calf injury. Fellow safety Ty Okada missed yet another practice. The good news is Nick Emmanwori was a full participant once again.
