The NFL’s rookies, including the Seattle Seahawks’ first-year players, will wear a Debut Patch from Topps on their jerseys in the first game that they play starting next season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, with the patch then set to be included in a one-of-one autographed trading card after their first taste of NFL action concludes.
Fanatics, Topps’ parent company, along with the NFL and NFLPA struck a partnership to make Topps the official exclusive trading card licensee of the league last spring. The Debut Patch will commemorate the well-known trading card brand’s return to the NFL. Topps has already released cards in leadup to next season and the rookie debut patches are another way in which they are making their presence felt.
The Seahawks’
rookies, including Jadarian Price, Julian Neal and Beau Stephens, will get to wear the debut patch while playing for the defending Super Bowl champions in their first year in the league. Seattle will play its first game of the 2026 NFL season against the New England Patriots on Sept. 9, which will present its rookies with their first opportunity to take the field with the new patch.
