Everyone knew the NFC West was going to be a gauntlet during the 2026 season. The Seattle Seahawks are currently tied atop the division, sharing a perfect 2-0 record with the San Francisco 49ers. The Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals are 1-1 apiece.
The quarterbacks are especially off to a red-hot start. For the Seahawks, that's despite being without starter Sam Darnold. Drew Lock has been excellent in relief of Darnold, going 35-of-48 in two appearances for 422 yards, four touchdowns, and zero turnovers.
49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has been outstanding, completing 45-of-56 attempts for 492 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. He's added 59 rushing yards and a scrambling score to his offensive totals.
Rams' reigning MVP Matthew
Stafford is 37-of-56 for 482 yards, four touchdowns, and two INTs. Stafford looked like his elite self versus the New York Giants in Week 2 after struggling in Australia in Week 1.
And then there's Jacoby Brissett. The veteran stopgap is 44-of-65 for 372 yards, two TDs and one pick.
No division is producing better QB play than the NFC West right now. The Seahawks are fortunate to have Lock, who has made a seamless transition while temporarily replacing the injured Darnold.
