The Seattle Seahawks may have lost 32-29 to the San Francisco 49ers, but there are plenty of positives from the game. At least on an individual level. No, this is not a "moral victories" sort of post. This is the NFL, there are no "moral" victories... only real ones.
However, the fact Seattle lost is not going to stop us at Seahawks Wire from praising strong performances when they merit them. One player we want to highlight is third year defensive tackle Byron Murphy II who made life miserable for Brock Purdy.
Going into Week 5, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy had not been sacked! Through a month of play, no one had gotten to him. That particularly impressive streak ended against the Seahawks, when Murphy brought him down not once
but twice!

Overall, Byron Murphy II finished the game with six total tackles (tied with Julian Love for second most on the team, behind Ernest Jones), three quarterback hits, three tackles for a loss and two sacks. It appears the Seahawks have another rising superstar along their defensive line... but the 12th Man already knows that.
