Seattle Seahawks tight end AJ Barner enters Week 3 as a potential fantasy football sleeper, carrying touchdown upside into a favorable road matchup against the Washington Commanders.
Seattle will travel to Washington on Sunday seeking to exploit a defense that has given up a good amount of yards to opposing passing attacks early in the season. The Commanders have allowed 224 passing yards per game, placing them in the middle of the league, but opposing tight ends have found consistent success near the end zone. Washington has given up seven passing touchdowns through two games, creating an advantageous matchup for Seattle’s passing attack to exploit.
Barner has recorded three receptions for 21 yards this season. He opened the tear with two catches
for 13 yards in Week 1 and followed that up with one reception for eight yards in Week 2. Barner has also scored a rushing touchdown, taking a one-yard carry into the end zone.
The target volume remains limited, but Barner’s heavy offensive involvement and red-zone opportunity make him an intriguing stream. Managers needing a tight end with low-rostered, touchdown-driven upside could consider him for Week 3.
