The Seattle Seahawks are going to be back on our television screens faster than usual, as they will be kicking off Week 6 on Thursday Night Football. Seattle will be traveling to Denver to take on the Broncos. Fittingly, these former AFC West rivals understand the historic assignment, and are dressing accordingly.
Seattle and Denver will both be wearing their iconic retro throwback uniforms from the 1980's on Thursday. The Seahawks' royal blue and silver will contrast magnificently against Denver's blue and bright orange. We at Seahawks Wire initially reported this news back in early August when the team announced this wonderful uniform news, but now that throwback week is finally upon us we felt it was more than appropriate to remind everyone!

The 12th Man will be getting plenty of action in the throwbacks over the next couple of weeks. Not only will the Seahawks wear them on Thursday against the Broncos in Week 6, but they will keep wearing them when they return home in Week 7 for Sunday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs. Yet another former AFC West rival.
Overall, the Seattle Seahawks are 4-3 in the throwbacks since they brought them back during the 2023 season. Seattle wore them three times last year, going 2-1 in them. The Seahawks will once again wear these throwbacks three times this year, with the third and final time coming in Week 13 when they host the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.
Bring on Throwback Thursday!
