Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers has had an effective start to the 2026 season, giving the team a dependable scoring option as it prepares to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5.
Myers has performed up to his standard thus far this year. He is a perfect 5-for-5 on field-goal attempts this season, with his longest conversion being from 57 yards out, and has made 12 of 13 extra-point attempts. He has scored 27 points for the Seahawks through four games played, averaging 6.8 points per contest, with his only miss coming on an extra-point attempt against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4. Myers has also continued to handle Seattle’s kickoff duties, and has forced four touchbacks across 22 attempts.
The San Francisco 49ers are the next opponent
that Myers will face this season. The 49ers will present him with a difficult challenge this week. San Francisco has allowed only nine opponent field-goal attempts this season, and the team’s defense has played well on the season.
Myers remains as one of the best special teams players in the league, and his current level of play appears to be sustainable for the rest of the year. The upcoming matchup against San Francisco may go one of several ways, including several stopped touchdown drives that may open the door for more field goal attempts for Myers, but ultimately, his perfect field-goal rate and the Seahawks’ offensive efficiency sets him up to succeed.
