This end zone angle of the play makes it look like the Seattle defense had the perfect play. They forced Kansas City’s offense to go just where they wanted.
The Seahawks defense quickly notices Chiefs running back Emmett Johnson is a decoy, and Emmanwori quickly bursts through the line to start chasing Mahomes. Mahomes hears Emmanwori’s footsteps behind him and attempts an uncharacteristically
poor throw to the sideline, which Okada, comes downhill on to pick off. Head coach Mike Macdonald has to be proud of the execution here.
The Seahawks defense is currently shutting out the Chiefs high-powered offense with just 3:16 to go in the first half, making a statement to the rest of the NFL against an undefeated team. They now have the ball and are driving into Chiefs’ territory again.
