It was a fairly strange week around the NFC West. It began with a disappointing Seattle Seahawks Week 6 loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football. The 3-3 Seahawks sat back on Sunday and paid close attention to the happenings around the league.
The strangest result was seeing the Arizona Cardinals defeat the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. The Cardinals won 18-16 on a last-second Chad Ryland field goal. The Rams lost new kicker Blake Grupe to an injury in the first quarter and played the rest of the game without a placekicker (though punter Ethan Evans converted an extra point).
One weird fact emerged from the Cardinals' stunning upset over the Rams. It represented Arizona's second win at SoFi Stadium this season after they previously
defeated the Los Angeles Chargers on the road. The Cardinals now have more wins at SoFi (2) this campaign than the Rams (1) do. Also, the Chargers have zero wins at SoFi this season.
The 5-0 San Francisco 49ers will play against the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football. The Seahawks are a disappointing 3-3, but at least they're still ahead of the Rams (2-4) and Cardinals (2-4) in the division.
