The Seattle Seahawks will look to improve to 3-0 on the season with a victory over the winless Washington Commanders
. While we may not know who Seattle's quarterback will be - as Sam Darnold is attempting to make his return - we do at least know what the team will be wearing. The Seahawks announced on Thursday morning what their uniform combination will be for Week 3, and for the first time this season they will be breaking out the all-white threads.This will also be the first time the Seahawks wear their usual away white jersey, as they wore their navy home jersey last week on the road in Arizona. Overall the Seahawks are 11-11 in the all-white look, and it's one of only two uniform combos without a winning record (white jersey/grey pants
are 7-10).
However, maybe the tide is turning for this particular look. Last year the Seahawks went 2-0 in the all-whites. It was the first time since the 2012 season (when these Nike uniforms were introduced) that Seattle won two games in them, and the first time they went undefeated in the all-whites when playing more than one game.
Perhaps the most important win wearing the all-white combo took place at the very same stadium they'll be playing in on Sunday. In 2012, the Seahawks won their second-ever road playoff game in franchise history with a 24-14 Wild Card victory over the "other" Washington.
