The Seattle Seahawks
are flying high after their 13-10 win over the New England Patriots. Seattle survived the loss of starting quarterback Sam Darnold five plays into the game and managed to start the year 1-0. Despite rolling with Drew Lock for an indeterminate amount of time, the Seahawks' opening day victory was more than enough to claim the top spot on the NFL's official power rankings from Week 1.The NFL's full power rankings can be seen in the tweet below:

Rounding out the Top 10 are as follows:
- No. 1 - Seattle Seahawks
- No. 2 - Buffalo Bills
- No. 3 - Baltimore Ravens
- No. 4 - Cincinnati Bengals
- No. 5 - Jacksonville Jaguars
- No. 6 - Denver Broncos
- No. 7 - Los Angeles Rams
- No. 8 - Chicago Bears
- No. 9 - San Francisco 49ers
- No. 10 - Kansas City Chiefs
While I'm not going to take too much umbrage with a list that accurately reflects the Seattle Seahawks as the No. 1 team in the NFL (especially since they were borderline outright
ignored this offseason) but there are some teams on this list that make me scratch my head. Not necessarily who is among the Top 10, but where they fall.
Specifically related to the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams. The Broncos and Rams were both humiliated in their season debuts, losing 31-10 and 27-7 to the Chiefs and 49ers, respectively. And both those teams are ranked above the teams that whooped them! Having both this high, while teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions are excluded from the Top 10, doesn't feel quite right.
But enough about them. All that matters is the Seahawks are atop the totem pole, and they will look to remain that way with a win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2.
