Seattle Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock has emerged as a leading Week 3 waiver-wire option after an efficient start to the season and a breakout performance in Seattle’s latest victory.
NFL.com’s Matt Okada named Lock as one of his top waiver wire targets among all quarterbacks in the league for the week at hand.
“Looking for a brave one-game play in Week 3? Lock just threw three touchdown passes and scored 21.4 points against Arizona, and Seattle gets Washington's porous defense next Sunday,” Okada said. “If Lock starts in place of the injured Sam Darnold (glute) for another week, he'll likely be a top-15 QB (again).”
Lock has completed 35 of 48 passes for 422 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions through two games. He has added 13 rushing
yards on two attempts while showing command of Seattle’s offense in place of injured starter Sam Darnold.
The veteran Lock turned in his strongest outing in the Seahawks’ 31-7 Week 2 win over Arizona, completing 19 of 26 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns. Lock avoided turnovers, consistently found open receivers and helped Seattle control the game from the jump. His production has made him an appealing short-term fantasy option entering Week 3, particularly for team managers seeking quarterback help.
