These were the first two times 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy had been sacked all year.
The first one shows him working inside against 49ers left guard Connor Colby, knocking him back and out of the way before taking Purdy down. The second shows him getting on Colby’s outside shoulder before bursting around the block. He doesn't have long arms, but
once he gets a hold of a quarterback, he sinks them like an anchor.
Murphy’s domination on the line of scrimmage has helped set the tone for the Seahawks, while the 49ers have responded poorly. Their starting linebacker, Dre Greenlaw, just got ejected for headbutting Seahawks starting linebacker Ernest Jones IV on the sideline. This is as heated as you’d expect a rivalry game to get, and it looks like it will be decided by who can best maintain both their composure and physicality in tandem with one another.
