The Seattle Seahawks are making their final preparations ahead of their Week 8 showdown with the Chicago Bears. Fortunately for Seattle, the cavalry is on its way at the right time. On Saturday afternoon, the Seahawks revealed their injury designations for Monday night, and two players in particular do not carry any:
Running backs Zach Charbonnet and rookie Jadarian Price. Now, granted, Price is still technically on injured reserve, so Seattle will have to make some kind of a roster move if they want to activate him to the 53 man roster for Monday. But the important takeaway is Charbonnet is ready to make his official 2026 NFL season debut! Charbonnet has been out of commission since tearing his ACL in the Divisional Round victory over the San
Francisco 49ers last season.
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald has expressed uncertainty if Price will be activated this week, and I understand why. It feels far too risky to have both Charbonnet and Price back on the field at the same time, especially as they will probably have Charbonnet on some kind of a "pitch count." Continue to let Emanuel Wilson be the workhorse, work Charbonnet in slowly, then wait for Price.
As for other injury news: Linebacker Drake Thomas is set to return after missing hte last two games. Pass rush specialist Uchenna Nwosu is considered DOUBTFUL. Anthony Bradford, Drew Lock, defensive tackle Brandon Pili and linebacker Patrick O'Connell are QUESTIONABLE.
Left tackle Charles Cross, wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, and running back Velus Jones are OUT.
