The best wide receiver in all of football is unquestionably Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year is on an absolute tear to begin Seattle's title defense season, repeatedly justifying the Seahawks' decision to make him the highest paid wide receiver in NFL history.
Through three games, JSN is well on his way to a second-straight OPOY award. His 405 receiving yards and six touchdowns lead the NFL in both categories, and his 27 receptions are tied with Chris Olave - his former Ohio State teammate - for first in the league as well. With his 128 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday against the Commanders, JSN joined Jerry Rice as the only players in NFL history to begin a season with 120+ receiving yards and a touchdown in each
of the first three games.
Now JSN has an opportunity to match a Seahawks history. If JSN as at least another 100 yards through the air in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers, he will tie the Seahawks record for most consecutive 100+ yard games. Oh, and he would be tying his own record as well!
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is simply one of the best players in the NFL these days, and any defender unfortunate enough to draw the responsibility of covering him quickly find out for themselves.
