As the Seattle Seahawks consider their options in the trade market, New York Jets star running back Breece Hall stands out as the potential difference-maker who may bring another level of explosiveness to the team’s offense. Among the running backs potentially available for trade around the league, Hall offers a combination of athleticism, versatility and competitive mentality that make him a perfect player for Seattle to acquire.
Hall’s running style is reminiscent of what Kenneth Walker brought to Seattle. His ability to accelerate through openings, make defenders miss and quickly cut to the outside mirrors the explosive qualities that made Walker such a threat for the Seahawks last season. His skill set also mirrors Zach Charbonnet’s, which
figures to create a similar two-back system in Seattle with Hall and Jadarian Price if the front office pursues Hall before the deadline.
Hall’s mentality may also be just as valuable as his physical ability. He plays with intensity and tremendous competitive fervor, and consistently holds himself to high expectations. His skill set is polished and he has big-play potential in every game that he plays. That mindset fits naturally in Seattle, as the team has a defense built to intimidate opponents and a team complexion predicated off of its toughness, physicality and huge highlight-worthy plays on offense and defense.
Through three games played thus far this season, Hall has registered 163 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on 51 carries, and has added 10 receptions for 102 receiving yards. His versatility makes him a particularly appealing option for Seattle to pursue to make the team an even stronger Super Bowl contender in the league moving forward.
