The Seattle Seahawks are once again flying high after their 20-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Seattle snapped their losing streak and managed to gain ground on the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West.
Unfortunately, it wasn't entirely clean, at least from the injuries perspective. Electrifying wide receiver/return man Rashid Shaheed left the game at half time. He was initially designated as QUESTIONABLE, but later downgraded to OUT. He was not alone, as left tackle Charles Cross left the game during the fourth quarter.
Afterwards, head coach Mike Macdonald gave the briefest of injury updates for Shaheed and Cross, if you can even call it that. Here is what he said when asked about any news on those players.
"Obviously (they) weren't able to
finish the game. I just don't have the information. Charles got an ankle. Rashid I think is his knee."
Macdonald also did not give any update about running back Velus Jones Jr., who also left the game early. Seattle's head coach did discuss backup quarterback Drew Lock, who was made inactive for Week 7. Lock did dress as the emergency third string quarterback. Here is what Macdonald said about Lock:
"He's working through that elbow. Not sure on the severity or how long it's going to be. It was best for us right now to kind of try to calm it down the best we can. So Jalen (Milroe) was ready to go if he needed to be the number two."
Seahawks Wire will continue to monitor the health of all these players this week as Seattle gets ready for NFL Week 8 against the Chicago Bears.
