One of the more unfortunate developments last week for the Seattle Seahawks was the sudden appearance of starting safety Julian Love on the injury report. Love was fine, then on Thursday he was dealing with a calf issue that ultimately kept him out of Seattle's Week 3 game against the Washington Commanders.
Now the question is squarely focused on if he can play in Week 4 when the Seahawks host the Chargers. Seattle's head coach Mike Macdonald spoke with the media on Monday afternoon regarding Love's health. According to Macdonald, Love is considered "day-to-day." Love apparently did extensive work on Monday morning that went well, but it remains to be seen how that will "translate to Wednesday and moving forward."
Macdonald: Julian Love is day-to-day.
We'll see how that shakes out. He did extensive work this morning, that went well, we'll see how that translates to Wednesday and moving forward. #Seahawks

Love's absense was sorely felt in our nation's capital. It shouldn't be ignored the one game Love didn't play ended up being the only game thus far where the Seahawks didn't record an interception. Commanders backup quarterback Marcus Mariota faced little resistance from the Dark Side defense, throwing for 183 yards and three touchdown passes.
Seattle faces a rather inept Chargers offense this week, as Los Angeles hasn't scored more than 16 points in a game this season, and that only happened one time so far. However, the Seahawks cannot afford to not take them seriously. Their loss to the Commanders should have been a wake up call for them.
