The Seattle Seahawks’ receiving corps helped the team win the Super Bowl last season, but is it currently the best unit in the entire NFL?
Pro Football Focus ranked the Seahawks’ pass-catching unit No. 4 overall in their receiving corps rankings ahead of next season.
”Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the breakout star of last season, but his six lowest-graded games all came after Week 13,” the PFF team said. “This unit loses Kenneth Walker’s average receiving presence, but returns veteran Cooper Kupp, Rashid Shaheed and tight end AJ Barner. Shaheed has long been regarded as a deep threat, but he has grown into a reliable target too. His 1.2% drop rate is the lowest of any player with at least 120 receptions since 2023.”
The Detroit Lions’, Dallas Cowboys’,
and Cincinnati Bengals’ receiving units were all ranked ahead of the Seahawks’.
In addition to Smith-Njigba’s excellence and Shaheed’s anticipated ascent in 2026, Barner is another pass-catcher for Seattle who is due for a surge. The Seahawks’ receiving unit may not have as many top-shelf options the way that the Lions, Cowboys and Bengals do with two proven 1,000-yard receivers in all three of their offenses, but they do have the potential to outgun any team’s opposing units next year.
