Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp called on his team to eliminate costly mistakes after its Week 3 loss to the Commanders.
According to ESPN’s Brady Henderson, Kupp stated to the media after the game that sharper execution must be the priority for the team moving forward.
“I think there’s a lot of stuff we left out there that basically we want back,” Kupp said. “But also there’s a mixture of responding to some adversity there. So it’s going to be one of those things. We’re gonna watch the film. This is the NFL. You find a few plays there at the end and maybe the result’s different. It doesn’t change the fact that four quarters of the game has been played and there’s stuff that needs to get fixed one way or another.
The Seahawks’ running
backs found difficulties striving for first downs in short and manageable situations. Jadarian Price committed his second fumble of the season and Sam Darnold threw two interceptions in the game. Preventable errors in key moments contributed toward the Seahawks’ loss on the day.
The loss dropped the team to 2-1 on the season and leaves the team searching for a response entering its next matchup.
