The Seattle Seahawks have released their first inactives report for the 2026 season, and it includes some names the 12th Man was hoping to not see. After days of speculation, it is now official: star safety Nick Emmanwori will not play tonight vs the New England Patriots. Fellow safety Ty Okada was already ruled OUT, and now Seattle will be without two of the three safeties they initially named to their active 53-man roster after the preseason.
Wide receiver Tory Horton, who was listed as QUESTIONABLE alongside Emmanwori, has also been made inactive as well.
Seattle did sign safety AJ Finley from the practice squad, and elevated Rodney Thomas II and running back Velus Jones Jr. on Wednesday afternoon. Depth is going to be tested right off the bat,
and it will be quite the challenge against New England's revamped offense.
