Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald has led the team to victory time and again in special fashion since being hired in 2024, and that continued on Wednesday night in their 13-10 over the New England Patriots.
According to Yahoo Sports’ Ben Fawkes, the Seahawks have gone 22-2 in games where they have been favored to win under Macdonald.
Macdonald has not only coached up a standard-setting defense in the league, but he’s also given his unit, including the offensive unit, the leadership needed to enter every game with an edge against their opponents.
The Seahawks were a great team last season with a sweltering defense that made life easier on their offense, thanks to Macdonald’s play-calling. The defense was the story for Seattle once again in their season-opening
win over New England, which made good on their status as favorites in the matchup.
Seattle's stretch of success extends beyond simple betting trends. Under Macdonald, the Seahawks have gone 24-5 in their last 29 games. During this stretch, the team has lost by more than four points only once, and you have to go all the way back to December of 2024 to find it.
