Will the Seattle Seahawks be a must-see TV team in 2026 above the rest of the most exciting teams in league?
The Seahawks are among the top Super Bowl contenders for the upcoming season. The defending champions have what it takes to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the second consecutive year at the end of next season. However, off of excitement factor and the nuances that make a team one that’s hard to detach the eyes from, the Seahawks are up there with the best teams in the league as well.
ESPN’s Ben Solak ranked the Seahawks No. 8 overall in his assessment of all 32 NFL teams’ watchability and excitement factors for the upcoming season.
“The defending Super Bowl champs are watchable by default,” Solak said. “They will get the best out of
every opponent they play. Every loss will be a crisis, and every win will be another step toward the rare repeat. Such watchability is increased by the presence of a reigning Offensive Player of the Year, as few receivers in football are more interesting to watch than Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who lines up everywhere and runs every route under the sun.”
The Seahawks bring the goods. Their defense was scary good last season. Memorable plays from DeMarcus Lawrence in the regular season and the playoffs, Derick Hall in the Super Bowl, Josh Jobe in the secondary, and Tyrice Knight in the pass rush, made the Seahawks’ season special last year.
Those players are all returning for next season, and along with an offense that produced the best deep-ball threat in the NFL last season in JSN, along with a breakout candidate in Rashid Shaheed, and an electric rookie running back in Jadarian Price, the Seahawks figure to be one of the most exciting teams to watch next season.
