Seattle Kraken forward Matty Beniers will raise the Seattle Seahawks’ 12th Man flag ahead of Week 7’s Sunday Night Football matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Aaron Levine broke the news at 3:33 p.m. PDT.
I'm told Matty Beniers of the @SeattleKraken will be raising the 12s Flag tonight. First Kraken player to do so! #Seahawks

Beniers became the Kraken’s first-ever draft pick when they selected him No. 2 overall in 2021. Now, he’ll become the first Kraken player to raise the Seahawks’ 12th Man flag as well. Beniers won the 2022-23 NHL Rookie of the Year award and has cemented himself as one of the franchise’s most important players in their infancy. He’s an alternate captain and has become one of their most recognizable names as they aim to build
a connection to the city. He’ll have a chance to further that connection tonight by doing the honors assigned to a different Seattle celebrity each week.
