Emanuel Wilson is worth starting in fantasy football in Week 6, as the Seattle Seahawks running back prepares to face the Denver Broncos on Thursday night. His projected workload makes him an appealing option for fantasy managers seeking strong production from a running back in a flex role.
Wilson rushed 20 times for 61 yards and a touchdown in Seattle's Week 5 game against the San Francisco 49ers, adding two receptions for 11 yards. Through five games played, he has recorded 251 rushing yards on 73 carries and two rushing touchdowns as well as 50 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown. His rushing volume and scoring potential strengthen his case to be viewed as a fantasy starter this week.
Moreso, with Jadarian Price on injured reserve, Wilson
will have an opportunity to handle the bulk of Seattle's duties in the offensive backfield. George Holani is expected to be his primary competition for carries, leaving Wilson in position to receive a substantial amount of valuable opportunities.
Denver's run defense presents Wilson with an encouraging matchup to exploit. The Broncos have allowed the third-most rushing yards to opponents in the NFL this season with 726, and have also given up five rushing touchdowns through the first five games of the season. Wilson has a lane to capitalize on those struggles, giving fantasy managers a compelling reason to start him in Week 6.
