Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been named to Pro Football Focus’ Team of the Week for Week 7 following his dominant performance against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Smith-Njigba was recognized alongside Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins and Baltimore Ravens WR Zay Flowers, rounding out the group of receivers selected for the weekly award this week.
In Seattle’s 20-3 victory over Kansas City, Smith-Njigba recorded nine receptions on 12 targets for 150 receiving yards and a touchdown. He continued a remarkable season in which he has consistently delivered game-changing performances for the Seahawks.
Through seven games played this year, Smith-Njigba leads the NFL in receiving yards with 867 as well as REC touchdowns with eight.
His production has cemented his current status as the premier wide receiver in the NFL over his peers. He and the Seahawks now look ahead toward facing the Chicago Bears in Week 8, in a matchup that will present Smith-Njigba with another opportunity to extend his impressive run and help Seattle build on its victory over the Chiefs.
