The Seattle Seahawks’ 13-10 win over the New England Patriots on Wednesday night came with much significance.

Seattle has been on a tear since that time, having won the Super Bowl at the end of last season and now started the 2026 NFL season off on the right foot.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the top performer for the Seahawks in the win over New England. JSN torched the Patriots for 122 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown in the win. This was the first time that he has ever recorded a touchdown in a Week 1 game in his career.

in the biggest moment. He caught the game-sealing interception at the end of the game to give the Seahawks the victory. Jobe allowed two receptions for three receiving yards when targeted three times in coverage, according to NFL Next Gen Stats (via The 33rd Team), which highlighted the scope of his effect on the game.
