The Seattle Seahawks have announced game time designations for their players headed into the Week 3 showdown against the Washington Commanders. It seems we have a bit of “give and take” going on when it comes to Seattle’s health this week.
There’s no better place to start with the good news than starting quarterback Sam Darnold, who will be making his return. Darnold injured his glute on the 5th play of Seattle’s first game against the Patriots this year. In his place has been Drew Lock, who has helped guide the Seahawks to a 2-0 start. Darnold has been “striving” to return to action and clearly he, and the team, feel the time is right.
Unfortunately, the bad news is starring safety Julian Love has been ruled OUT for Week 3. Love shockingly appeared
on Seattle’s injury report for Thursday with a calf injury, and it’s obviously serious enough to keep him out. While it’s a bummer to not see him in action, especially since he has two interceptions to start the year, perhaps it’s for the best this week. The Commanders’ field has a daunting history of gruesome lower leg injuries, so in my opinion let’s keep Love far away from the turf.
Rounding out Seattle’s injury report on Friday is defensive tackle Brandon Pili who is QUESTIONABLE. He is still dealing with a concussion sustained last week in the win over the Cardinals.
