Are the Seahawks Seahawks the best team in the NFL through the first two weeks of the 2026 NFL season?
Fox Sports’ Bucky Brooks ranked the Seahawks No. 1 overall in his Top 10 rankings after Sunday’s Week 2 slate of games, after the team secured a 31-7 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
“The defending champs are primed for a back-to-back title run after jumping out to a 2-0 record with a pair of impressive performances,” Brooks said. “With Drew Lock thriving as a super-sub in place of Sam Darnold, the Seahawks’ offense hasn’t skipped a beat without its QB1.”
Seattle opened with a 13-10 victory over the New England Patriots in Week 1, rallying from a 10-point deficit to win the game. Backup quarterback Drew Lock entered after Sam Darnold departed with a hip
injury and completed 16 of 22 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown. Seattle’s defense intercepted Patriots quarterback Drake Maye three times in the fourth quarter.
The Seahawks then earned a 31-7 road win over Arizona in Week 2. Lock started and completed 19 of 26 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns, each thrown to Smith-Njigba. JSN totaled nine catches for 155 yards, highlighted by an 82-yard touchdown. Seattle’s defense limited Arizona to seven points, extending the Seahawks’ overall winning streak to 12 games, including the postseason.
The Seahawks have played like the defending Super Bowl champions that they are, and with Lock filling in well for Darnold, are a force to be reckoned with yet again in 2026.
