Seattle Seahawks running back Jadarian Price received positive news after exiting the team’s Week 2 win over the Arizona Cardinals with a chest injury.
According to Fox 13 Seattle’s Curtis Crabtree, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald stated after the game that X-Rays on Price’s chest came back negative, providing an encouraging early indication for Seattle. Price left the game in the fourth quarter and did not return as Seattle defeated Arizona by a score of 31-7. He spent the remainder of the game on the sideline while the Seahawks closed out the win.
Price finished Sunday's game with 13 carries for 52 yards and one fumble lost.
The Seahawks are expected to continue monitoring Price in the days ahead as they shift their attention to Week 3. The team’s
medical staff will determine whether he requires additional testing, treatment or a modified practice schedule.
The results do not, however, confirm his status for the club’s next game or rule out the need for further evaluation.
Price’s exit created a late concern for Seattle’s backfield, even in a decisive victory. For now, the negative X-Ray report gives the Seahawks a favorable starting point as they await a clearer picture of the running back’s recovery and availability.
