The Seattle Seahawks are one of 23 NFL teams that have won multiple Super Bowls in the history of the league, and the best players to have played for the franchise may be up for debate given the amount of stars that have led the team to great success over the years.
ESPN created an all-time Seahawks roster, naming the best Super Bowl performers at every position from across the franchise’s history rather than the best players to play for the team in all.
On offense, Russell Wilson was named at quarterback, joined by Kenneth Walker III and Marshawn Lynch at running back. AJ Barner earned the tight end selection, while Doug Baldwin and Chris Matthews were listed at wide receiver. The offensive line consists of Walter Jones at left tackle, Steve
Hutchinson at left guard, Max Unger at center, Chris Gray at right guard and Abraham Lucas at right tackle.
Defensively, Derick Hall and Chris Clemons were selected at edge rusher, with Michael Bennett and Byron Murphy II being the defensive tackle selections. Bobby Wagner and Malcolm Smith represent the linebacker group. Kam Chancellor, Julian Love and Earl Thomas II were named at safety, while Devon Witherspoon and Richard Sherman were selected at cornerback.
The special-teams unit includes Jason Myers at kicker, Michael Dickson at punter and Chris Stoll at long snapper. Percy Harvin was chosen as kick returner, and Rashid Shaheed was named punt returner.
The selections unite players from different Seahawks eras in one all-time lineup. All of their contributions in prior Super Bowls helped Seattle either come away with the wins that they recorded in franchise history or make a difference in the other matchup that did not result in a victory.
