It's a quick turnaround for the Seattle Seahawks following their nailbiting Week 5 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers. They'll play versus the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football in Week 6. It should be a tight matchup between two postseason-contending teams who are both dissatisfied to be struggling via a disappointing 3-2 record.
Mike Macdonald's defense has been playing effectively. They'll appreciate their chances against underperforming Broncos quarterback Bo Nix. This Broncos offense is struggling so badly that head coach Sean Payton recently took play-calling duties back from offensive coordinator Davis Webb.
Nix is currently completing under 60 percent of his passing attempts. His 5.8 yards per attempt is the lowest of his career,
and 3rd-lowest among full-time starting QBs, better than just Cam Ward and Daniel Jones. Nix has thrown just six touchdowns versus three interceptions.
Nix's adjusted quarterback rating (QBR) is 7th-lowest among starting QBs. It's been a career-worse year for Nix.
Pro Football Focus has Nix with 11 turnover-worthy plays (TWP) versus just five big-time throws (BTT). His 11 TWPs are second-most behind just Justin Herbert. Only four starting QBs have fewer BTTs.
Seahawks QB Sam Darnold has been mediocre as well. The offense will be tested versus a stiff Broncos defense. Meanwhile, the Seahawks defense will believe it can force Nix into mistakes.
