Will the Seattle Seahawks begin the 2026 NFL season at 3-0?
The Seahawks are undefeated after two weeks of play, without Sam Darnold in the lineup, and look like the defending Super Bowl champions that they are. The Washington Commanders are next up on the schedule for Seattle, in what is shaping up to be a favorable matchup for the Seahawks with Jayden Daniels out due to injury.
CBS Sports has picked the Seahawks to defeat the Commanders by a score of 30-13 in their Week 3 matchup.
The prediction favors a Seahawks team expected to control the game on both sides of the ball. Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock is off to a hot start to the season and leads the league in passer rating at 127.3. He has the NFL’s leading receiver in Jaxon Smith-Njigba to lean
on, as well as a deep running back room, that gives the Seahawks an edge offensively over the Commanders.
Seattle’s defense is playing at a championship level this season. The Seahawks defense is equipped to take away all three phases of the field against Washington, and has gotten great play from many of their top stars, including Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy and Julian Love.
The Commanders will need timely stops and an efficient offensive performance to keep the game close.
