Seattle Seahawks sophomore wide receiver Montorie Foster Jr. has arguably been the star of the team's appearance on HBO's Hard Knocks. Fans have fallen in love with the second-year undrafted free agent. With roster cutdown of August 30th approaching, the Seahawks will be tasked with making another decision regarding his future shortly.
After the Seahawks waived Foster last season, he kept busy by getting his real estate license and becoming a substitute teacher. The Seahawks re-signed him to the practice squad late into the season and he ended up winning Super Bowl LX with the organization. His charming story has been well documented on Hard Knocks.
Foster isn't just a good story. The former Michigan State standout recorded a team-high five receptions
for 36 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks' preseason opener. Foster scored Seattle's only touchdown in preseason Week 1, catching a five-yard score from backup quarterback Drew Lock.
The Seahawks are extremely deep at receiver. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, Rashid Shaheed, and Tory Horton are considered roster locks. Jake Bobo is the in-house favorite for the fifth spot. If the Seahawks keep six or seven receivers, Foster is competing with the likes of Cody White, Emmanuel Henderson, and Ricky White III for a reserve role.
Seahawks fans are rooting for Foster as roster cutdown day approaches.
