Thomas played nine seasons in Seattle, making seven Pro Bowls, three All-Pro first-teams, and the Hall Of Fame All-2010s team. Pete Carroll drafted him in his first of 14 years as Seahawks head coach, and built the vaunted “Legion Of Boom” defense that won Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 around his strengths. Standing just 5’10”, 200 pounds, he would be mistaken as a coverage specialist in the backend, but laid vicious hits alongside Kam Chancellor as well.
This will be the first time Thomas officially returns as a guest of the organization post-playing career.
He never got a proper send-off after being injured in his final year with the team, but his impact is still felt as you see #29 Thomas jerseys among the Lumen Field crowd every gameday. He played against the Seahawks once after leaving the franchise, with the Baltimore Ravens in 2019 — but today marks a new chapter for the relationship between the two.
