The Seattle Seahawks' 2025 Super Bowl-winning season was partially spearheaded by contributions from an excellent rookie class. Several 2025 draftees made immediate impacts. Grey Zabel helped transform the offensive line into a strength, and Nick Emmanwori was an instant superstar for the defense.
Sitting at 3-3 in 2026, perhaps it's no coincidence that the Seahawks' .500 record coincides with receiving almost zero contributions from the 2026 rookie class.
In fairness, first-round pick Jadarian Price is on IR. It's fair to question what his role will be once he's activated though. Price lost two fumbles in limited action before getting injured, and veteran RB Zach Charbonnet is about to make his 2026 debut. The Seahawks' first-round selection
will have to earn reps in this competitive backfield.
The Seahawks lost second-round pick Bud Clark to a season-ending injury during the preseason. That was extremely unfortunate. Clark appeared set to compete for playing time, but there was no guarantee he'd take reps from Ty Okada.
Third-round cornerback Julian Neal has played two defensive snaps. Fifth-round guard Beau Stephens has arguably been the rookie class' biggest contributor. Stephens has played 135 snaps at right guard while rotating with Christian Haynes. Starter Anthony Bradford is about to come back from injury though, sending the rookie back to the bench.
It's too early to make any rash judgments, but it's fair to say John Schneider's rookie class hasn't contributed anything noteworthy yet.
