The Seattle Seahawks made several roster transactions on Saturday afternoon, and the 12th Man isn't going to be thrilled about one of them. Rookie running back Jadarian Price is now headed to the Injured Reserve (IR) list. Price was already ruled OUT for Seattle's Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers due to reaggrevating a shoulder injury sustained in Week 2. Now Seattle's first round selection from the 2026 NFL draft will miss a minimum of the next four games.
This is a devastating blow to Seattle's already struggling running back stable. Now the position looks like Emanuel Wilson, George Holani, and Velus Jones Jr. who was elevated from the practice squad on Saturday to fill Price's spot. The Seahawks are still without presumed starter
Zach Charbonnet, who was recently designated to return to practice. However, Charbonnet is still going to miss at least one more game before Seattle can even think about getting him back in action. Seattle will now have to figure out how to get their ground game back on track without two of their best players at the position.
The Seahawks made two other roster moves, elevating cornerback Trevon Diggs and safety Max Hook from the practice squad as well. Seattle's safety position has been hurting but could be nearing full strength with both Julian Love and Nick Emmanwori playing together, and Ty Okada being QUESTIONABLE. Still, it's good to get some depth as security.
As for Diggs, this could be his Seahawks debut. He was signed in late August during the preseason and played in one game. He made the most of his lone appearance by snagging an interception. Although Diggs did not survive the initial round of roster cuts, he chose to remain in Seattle and sign with their practice squad in the hopes of eventually making the active 53. Clearly, he views the Seahawks as his best opportunity to revitalize his career.
