Seattle Seahawks star Devon Witherspoon has few rivals in the NFL at the cornerback position.
CBS Sports ranked Witherspoon No. 3 overall in their cornerback rankings this year.
“Witherspoon is an absolute missile coming up and playing the run or blitzing, and in the Super Bowl, he had a sack and three pressures on Drake Maye,” CBS Sports’ analysts said. “His tone-setting moving forward shouldn't overshadow his talent in coverage, though. He is a dogged defender everywhere he goes.”
Witherspoon was named a second-team All-Pro honoree in 2025. He recorded an interception, seven passes defensed, a fumble recovery and four quarterback hits last season, showing his versatility as one of the premier cover corners in the league.
The Illinois product will
be able to put together an even better season in 2026, worthy of not only a first-team All-Pro nod, but also even higher widespread esteem among his peers at the position.
