The reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks are slated to begin their 2026 regular season in less than one week. The Seahawks will be hosting the New England Patriots at Lumen Field in a Super Bowl LX rematch on Wednesday, September 9th. Sophomore wide receiver Tory Horton is officially racing the clock to be ready for the opening game.
Horton was not spotted by local beat writers at Thursday's practice, according to those in attendance. The Seahawks won't deliver their first official injury report until Saturday, when that practice will be designed to replicate a typical Wednesday session due to the change in schedule. We should learn more about Horton's status then.
Tory Horton not on field at beginning of practice. No injury report today
but there will be Saturday when Seahawks hold what is a usual Wednesday practice.

Horton has not played for the Seahawks since his rookie 2025 campaign ended prematurely in November. The former Colorado State standout was placed on season-ending IR after suffering a shin injury. Prior to that, Horton had proved to be a legitimate weapon on offense and special teams, scoring five touchdowns as a receiver, and one as a punt returner.
Horton now enters his sophomore season battling for positioning on the depth chart. The Seahawks have three proven assets at receiver in Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, and Rashid Shaheed. First and foremost, Horton has to get healthy.
