The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to collect familiar names for Clemson fans.
Baylon Spector is the latest former Tiger headed to Jacksonville after the organization added the veteran linebacker to its roster Monday. The move gives Spector another NFL opportunity while placing him in the same locker room as Trevor Lawrence and Ruke Orhorhoro.
Spector arrives in Jacksonville after spending his entire professional career to this point with Buffalo. The Bills drafted him late in the 2022 draft, and he developed into a useful depth piece who was occasionally called upon for a larger defensive role.
That opportunity came most notably in 2024. Spector started four times that season and finished with 40 tackles while also contributing 1.5 sacks and a fumble
recovery. Across his Buffalo tenure, he appeared in 29 regular-season games and recorded 55 tackles.
His Clemson résumé was considerably more extensive.
Spector became an important part of the Tigers defense late in his college career, leading the team in tackles during the 2020 season before finishing second in that category one year later. He ended his time at Clemson with 210 tackles and nine sacks while appearing in 53 games.
He was also part of one of the most successful stretches in program history.

Spector shared Clemson’s 2018 national championship season with Lawrence, then later played alongside Orhorhoro for three years. More than four years after his final game in a Tigers uniform, those connections will now carry over to the NFL.
For Spector, Jacksonville represents a chance to establish himself with a new organization after his role in Buffalo became limited last season. For Clemson fans, it also gives them another former Tiger to keep an eye on in Jacksonville.
