Clemson fans finally had an offensive highlight worth watching on repeat Saturday night, and it arrived when the Tigers needed it most. Tait Reynolds turned a potential collapse into a celebration with a 79-yard touchdown run that sealed a 36-24 win over Florida State.
Facing third-and-19 with the Seminoles suddenly within five points, the freshman quarterback escaped containment and sprinted down the sideline. His touchdown with 3:17 remaining gave Clemson the breathing room it needed to leave Tallahassee with a victory.
The Tigers improved to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in ACC play, bouncing back from last weekend’s frustrating loss to Virginia Tech. Clemson has now won five consecutive visits to Doak Campbell Stadium and 10 of its last 11 meetings
with Florida State.
Reynolds finished with 189 passing yards and two touchdown passes, connecting with tight ends Christian Bentancur and Olsen Patt-Henry. He added 85 rushing yards, providing the defining moment of a much-needed offensive breakthrough.
Nolan Hauser continued his outstanding season by making all five field goal attempts, while Clemson’s defense forced four turnovers and registered four sacks. Elliot Washington accounted for two interceptions, with Jerome Carter II securing another.
Florida State’s fourth-quarter rally made the finish uncomfortable, but Reynolds ensured the Tigers had a better ending this time.
Here’s how social media reacted to Clemson’s road victory over Florida State and Reynolds’ game-sealing touchdown.
Real chance Clemson loses this game and the program hits rock bottom if Tait Reynolds can’t scramble for a first down here. Instead he takes it 79 yards.

One of the best plays Clemson has ever had in this stadium. Iconic stuff. pic.twitter.com/LrMejvcwtt
Here’s Clemson coach Dabo Swinney’s full quote ripping the people who flew a “Fire Mike Novell” sign over FSU’s football stadium pregame. He brought this up unprompted, calling it “embarrassing” and “shameful.” Dabo: “And they didn’t even spell his name right” pic.twitter.com/K1JTml3LI9

That makes Clemson 10-1 against FSU since 2015.

Noles only win came in OT during their undefeated season.
Clemson beats Florida State for the 10th time in the last 11 games. Noles were a 6-point favorite but turned the ball over four times, had no run game without Ousmane Kromah, lost Duce Robinson and got gashed by a bad Clemson offense. Did I miss anything?

• #Clemson QB Tait Reynolds is most effective when the pocket is moved.. love the PA concepts to get him out in space to use his legs + arm.
• #Clemson RB Jarvis Green has earned more carries, he has the best ball carrier vision + patience of all the… https://t.co/1qmfc9TIWe
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney on freshman QB Tait Reynolds: "He ain't gonna get worse. He doesn't have good talent. He's got elite talent. I'm not saying he's Joe Montana. ... But we're gonna have him for more than one year. We're gonna build around him"

Make no mistake about it, this is a BAD Clemson team.

They just so happen to be playing a worse, Mike Norvell coached Florida State team.
