The Clemson Tigers' game against the Virginia Tech Hokies in Week 8 of the 2026 college football season has an official start time and TV channel.
The ACC announced early Sunday that the Tigers (4-2 overall, 2-1 conference) and Hokies (5-2, 2-2) will kick off at 7 p.m. ET Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN.
Clemson shut out Charleston Southern, 37-0, on Saturday. Chris Johnson Jr. ran for two touchdowns as the Tigers built a 34-0 lead at halftime en route to the victory. The defense pitched its first shutout since the 2021 season.
Clemson scored on each of its first five possessions. Johnson's first score, a 6-yard run, gave the Tigers a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. Gideon Davidson added a 7-yard run to make it 17-0,
and Johnson's second touchdown was a 2-yard run with 5:30 to play in the half.
Safety Kylon Griffin scooped up a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and returned it for a score. Nolan Hauser hit a career-long 59-yard field goal to cap the Tigers' scoring in the first half. Hauser connected on all three field goal attempts.
Clemson rushed for 231 yards on 46 attempts (5.0 AVG) while quarterback Tait Reynolds finished 17 of 26 for 127 yards in his fourth career start. The defense held Charleston Southern to 76 total yards. The Buccaneers were 0-for-11 on third downs.
Virginia Tech snapped a two-game losing streak with a 34-24 win over Georgia Tech on Saturday in Blacksburg.
